Kyra minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. Her most prominent character is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as a speech and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was of English heritage. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and says she attends Passover seders.
